Okay, so I'm slow to get started with the whole blog thing...

Here's my thought of the day...What level of sacrificial commitment are we willing to make for the sake of Christ? What will will give up? What will we re-think? Are we willing to change our lives either through expanding our comfort zone or giving up our own ideas? I think we must. Our American version of Christianity is a farce to a great extent. It is so self-centered. We are so focused on what the Lord can do for us and not what we can do for the Kingdom.

New Day

I never thought about having a blog until my daughter made one for herself. Even then, I needed her help in designing it! I've been pondering the goals that I have for it and the bottom line is that I feel "the world" has the market cornered on so many things that as fundamentalist,back-to-basic, Christ-following families...we need to find other means to spread the message of the Lord and the ways of Scripture-based living. So, we're off. The Lord is truly calling us to a higher standard. He wants us to embrace His Word...all of it. As homeschooling, "be in the world but not of it" families, we must dig deep. We need to look to the Lord for His standard on ALL things...not our own standard or the "world's."
